The Opportunity

CE Group is seeking an experienced Project Director to support delivery of a major 11kV distribution upgrade project in Papua New Guinea. This landmark infrastructure project will support the upgrade of existing electrical infrastructure and improve power accessibility across local communities through installation of roadside infrastructure, poles, switchboards and household connection opportunities.

  • The project consists of two major work packages running in parallel with an overall value of approximately $32 million and targeted connection outcomes across approximately 5,000 homes.
  • This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership, working in remote environments and delivering infrastructure projects that create genuine community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a major remote infrastructure and 11kV distribution project
  • Oversee project teams, supervisors and workforce coordination across site operations
  • Manage project performance across safety, delivery, stakeholder engagement and reporting
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders including Reeves throughout project delivery
  • Coordinate logistical requirements including accommodation, mobilisation, transport and workforce support
  • Support engagement with local communities, national workforce teams and operational stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

  • Strong background within infrastructure, utilities or electrical construction projects
  • Previous experience leading projects within remote or international environments
  • Electrical, linesman or engineering background highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of 11kV distribution infrastructure preferred
  • Extensive experience across major project environments
  • Strong leadership capability across operational, workforce and stakeholder management
