You'll work on groundbreaking projects that make a real-world impact. This hybrid role offers a balance of regular in-office collaboration with remote work, encouraging flexibility while enabling you to work closely with our diverse team of experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a GBRX innovation portfolio focused on addressing systemic challenges across infrastructure, operations, technology, and data.
• Translate strategic goals into coordinated delivery activity, shape the delivery plan, and manage teams and partners to realise measurable value.
• Provide leadership across complex workstreams, manage cross-sector relationships, and drive portfolio performance.
• Align resources, manage risk, oversee delivery assurance, and represent GBRX in senior forums.
• Independently lead the delivery of a high-impact Network Operations innovation portfolio.
• Develop clear delivery plans that translate strategic Network Operations objectives into integrated workstreams.
• Develop and shape innovation and technology opportunities within the Network Operations portfolio.
• Identify and resolve delivery challenges in a complex operational stakeholder environment.
• Lead senior stakeholder engagement across Network Operations.

About You

Essential Criteria:

• Proven ability to operate credibly in complex operational, infrastructure or transport environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to shape ambiguous operational problems into clear portfolio opportunities.

Desirable experience:

• Knowledge of UK rail Network Operations.
• Exposure to data-led operational decision support, AI-enabled insight, system integration, scenario modelling, or operational performance analytics.
• Experience working across operators, infrastructure managers, System Operator, DDaT, industry bodies, suppliers or other cross-industry delivery partners.
