Project Manager – Pride in Place

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Littlemoor and Broadwey Neighbourhood Board to lead the £20m Pride in Place programme in Weymouth. The post is within Dorset Council's Communities Delivery Team, which is leading change aimed at making the Council a better partner to empower local communities, working effectively with local partners. Pride in Place is a significant long term investment by the Government, aiming to put decision-making power in the hands of local people to bring about transformational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex, place-based or community-led programmes
• Facilitate meaningful community participation
• Ensure residents' voices shape priorities and decisions
• Support Neighbourhood Board meetings and governance
• Manage project delivery, including commissioning, procurement, and contract management

About You

The successful candidate will have proven ability to lead and deliver complex, place-based or community-led programmes, experience in community engagement, and the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.

Eligibility

A high level of flexibility is required, with a willingness to spend substantial time in Littlemoor and Broadwey, including some evening and weekend working. The role also demands significant travel, requiring the candidate to have a vehicle available for use as needed.
