Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager

About the Opportunity

My client seeks a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager who is approaching taking the APC to become RICS qualified to join them in their office in SE London / Kent borders area. Projects are generally of high value and there is a particular need currently for people to work on cladding remediation projects for large residential buildings along with other residential, education, healthcare and some commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
• Procure contractors and suppliers
• Perform cost control, contract administration, procurement, and tendering
• Provide financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
• Organize meetings, take minutes, and handle contract administration

About You

You will either be a Quantity Surveyor with an interest in project management or a Project Manager with some experience of cost management. You must have at least two years post-graduation experience of working with another firm of consultants / PQS. You should be working towards taking the APC towards becoming RICS qualified. You need to have a recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or Construction Project Management.

Eligibility

You should have used JCT contracts and have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
