EM Debt / EM Credit Portfolio Manager & Team

About the Opportunity

My client, a US-based boutique investment manager ($30bn+ AUM), is seeking to onboard a Portfolio Manager and their team with a transferable track record and assets in either EM debt (local or hard currency) or EM credit. The client aims to expand the business by reaching their primarily U.S. institutional client base. Competitive compensation, profit sharing, and lift-out compensation are available.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management of EM debt (hard or local currency) or EM Credit fund
• Sovereign / Corporate credit analysis
• Investment idea generation
• Securities selection and portfolio construction
• Client meetings with existing and prospective investors
• Contribute to the continuous development of the team’s investment process

About You

Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the investment industry as an EM Debt or EM Credit portfolio manager

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum $25m in transferable assets with a continuous track record of at least 5 years
• Strong knowledge of Global emerging markets equities
• Understanding of macroeconomic dynamics and their influence on EM Debt / Credit markets
• Proven track record in generating alpha using a disciplined investment process
• Ability to model and analyze companies qualitatively and quantitatively
• Clear, simple, and consistent communication with team members
• Lead PM with a commercial mindset to support clients and grow the asset base

Eligibility

The PM/team would ideally be based anywhere in the US; however, they are open to other locations (e.g., Europe, South America, etc.).

Benefits

In addition to competitive compensation, profit sharing is available for the onboarded PM/team. Compensation is also provided for lift-outs.
