Energy Project Director – Transmission and Distribution

Responsibilities

• Lead the positioning, pursuit and delivery of major transmission and distribution projects across the Energy market.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships, acting as a senior advisor on project strategy, delivery approach and commercial outcomes.
• Drive bid strategy, proposal development, commercial inputs and negotiations for major opportunities.
• Provide leadership across project governance, delivery planning, risk management, safety and quality assurance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions across design, advisory and project management services.
• Oversee project performance against scope, schedule, budget and client expectations.
• Support market growth by identifying opportunities, shaping pursuits and contributing to sector strategy.
• Mentor project leaders and technical teams, building capability across major project delivery and client engagement.

About You

The role requires significant experience leading major energy infrastructure projects, ideally across transmission lines, substations, network upgrades and broader transmission and distribution programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong risk awareness, and a commitment to safety, quality and professional excellence are critical.

Eligibility

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management or a related discipline are required.
• Chartered status or equivalent professional recognition is highly regarded.
• Proven experience delivering major transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial risk, project governance and delivery assurance within major energy infrastructure projects.
