Portfolio Manager

Job Description

About the Opportunity

Under the Pallas Group umbrella, we have two purpose-driven, ambitious brands inspired by a passion for excellence within the funds management and property industries.

Pallas Capital is a debt and equity fund manager specialising in the financing of Australian and New Zealand Commercial Real Estate. The business was established in direct response to the growing lack of credit in Australia’s mid-range property market; a situation exacerbated by the shortage of reputable, risk-adverse, non-bank lenders.

Fortis, our property development management business, has a portfolio of more than $750 million in successfully completed residential and commercial projects, with a further $560 million to be completed by the end of the year.

Due to continued growth within Pallas Capital, we are seeking a commercially driven and analytically strong Portfolio Manager to join the Structured Finance & Investment team in our Sydney office.

This is a market-facing role with a primary focus on securitisation and warehouse funding, responsible for structuring, executing, and managing funding solutions across Pallas Capital’s $3bn lending book, while supporting broader treasury and portfolio management activities.

The successful candidate will be required to work from the office five days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the structuring and execution of private securitisation and warehouse funding transactions with domestic and international financiers
  • Manage warehouse funding facilities, including utilisation, capacity planning, and optimisation
  • Oversee portfolio performance to support funding strategy, investor reporting, and transaction outcomes
  • Develop sophisticated financial models to support securitisation transactions, credit analysis, and NIM optimisation
  • Prepare high-quality analysis and reporting for financiers and internal stakeholders
  • Establish and manage transaction data rooms and respond to investor and financier due diligence requests
  • Prepare transaction documentation and materials, including term sheets and marketing collateral
  • Support financial risk management initiatives, including FX exposure and hedging strategies
  • Provide timely portfolio insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Mentor and support a junior analyst

About You

4–7 years’ experience in securitisation, structured finance, debt advisory, or a related discipline

Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or a related field (CFA or postgraduate qualifications desirable)

Demonstrated experience in the execution or management of securitisation or warehouse funding transactions

Advanced financial modelling capability, with strong technical proficiency in Excel

Strong understanding of funding structures, capital markets, and real estate credit

Ability to interpret legal documentation, including facility agreements and transaction structures

Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to deliver effectively in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment

Benefits

  • Entrepreneurial work environment
  • Opportunity to work with a young and fast-growing business
