About the Opportunity
Join a well-established national construction business delivering a major $100 million new-build commercial project in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Coordinator to join a high-performing project team and play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of a significant commercial construction project.
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administration team, site team and subcontractors, gaining broad exposure to project coordination, documentation, programming and commercial processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, coordination and maintenance of project documentation and delivery plans.
- Ensure project documentation is maintained in line with project, contractual and legislative requirements.
- Review project specifications, drawings and documentation, identifying potential issues or inconsistencies and escalating where required.
- Assist with the coordination and monitoring of short-term programs and project activities.
- Support weekly program updates, reporting and project status requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager with the preparation and coordination of information relating to extension of time claims and contractual notices.
- Assist with the coordination and administration of subcontractors and trade partners.
- Coordinate and collate information relating to subcontractor variations for review by the Project Manager and Contract Administration team.
- Maintain accurate project records and registers.
- Assist with project reporting, correspondence and general project administration.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information is communicated effectively and actions are followed up.
- Provide general project coordination support to the Project Manager and site team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Project Coordinator or similar construction project support role.
- Experience within the commercial construction industry.
- Exposure to medium or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and document management capabilities.
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and consultants.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
