Our work spans solar, storage, and industrial energy solutions, with a focus on commercial strength, technical excellence, and responsible development.

Together, PEP and Quinbrook combine deep delivery expertise with strong institutional backing - enabling the development of large-scale, high-impact energy infrastructure at the forefront of the transition.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Director to provide senior leadership and overall accountability for the delivery of major renewable energy projects within our portfolio. Acting on behalf of long-term investment funds, you will set project strategy and oversee delivery across all phases, from development through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

You will lead project teams and direct a broad range of contractors, consultants, and stakeholders - including EPC contractors, OEMs, grid operators, and authorities - ensuring strong governance, commercial control, and performance.

With responsibility for programme, procurement strategy, cost, and risk management, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget execution.
  • Define and manage overall project strategy, programme, and sequencing across all phases.
  • Oversee project budgets, commercial performance, and contract administration, including change, claims, and dispute resolution.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues across development, construction, and commissioning.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of key stakeholders (EPC, OEMs, interconnection contractors, grid operators, authorities, and landowners), ensuring delivery against schedule, cost, quality, and compliance targets.

Eligibility

Requirements:

  • ~10 years’ proven experience delivering large-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects in a senior project leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in project delivery, commercial management, contracts, and risk.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including grid operators and major contractors.
  • Good understanding of construction, commissioning, and grid compliance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and contract structures (e.g. EPC, BoP, OEM).
  • Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to travel to UK project sites (c.15–30%).

Desirable:

  • Full lifecycle experience across renewable energy projects.
  • Experience delivering solar PV and/or BESS projects.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, grid codes, and commissioning requirements.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent advanced experience.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, bonus, incentives, and benefits package.
  • Work on exciting and impactful renewable energy projects that contribute to a sustainable future.
  • Long-term stability and the opportunity to see projects through to completion in an asset-owner environment.
