About the Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead the delivery of major, high-profile construction projects valued at £100m+. This role will initially focus on the landmark AVIVA ARENA at Brabazon, a flagship development that will redefine the region's built environment. This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior position at the forefront of a prestigious programme, shaping outcomes from concept through to completion. You'll play a key role in shaping project culture, driving performance and contributing to the ongoing success of the wider Brabazon development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project through detailed design (RIBA 4) phase
  • Develop scopes of work and manage tender processes
  • Define the overall delivery strategy
  • Establish and drive the project delivery approach
  • Develop and manage integrated programmes, logistics plans, and project controls
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary construction team

About You

Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex construction projects (typically £100m+ value). Strong technical understanding of construction, design processes, standards and legislation. A demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, including senior staff. Experience working across the full project lifecycle from pre-construction to handover. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, and planning tools.

Eligibility

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior and director levels. Experience managing complex, M&E-heavy or technically challenging projects is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present, report and engage across a range of audiences. Ability to manage priorities, make decisions, and operate with a high level of autonomy. A collaborative leadership style, with a focus on openness, accountability and team development.
