Project Director – Heavy Industrial

About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, a strong project pipeline, and increasing demand within the heavy industrial sector, we are seeking a Project Director to join our Melbourne team. This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive major and complex projects across their full lifecycle – from pursuits and bid leadership through to design delivery and construction. You’ll partner closely with clients while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding project outcomes. You'll also play a critical role in growing our heavy industrial market through strong client relationships, strategic thinking, and excellence in delivery.

Where You’ll Make An Impact

• Providing leadership across complex projects, from early scope definition through to detailed design and construction support
• Leading major, multidisciplinary bids, including developing delivery methodologies aligned to client and market needs
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships, with a deep understanding of their business and strategic drivers
• Leading and managing contractual negotiations, applying sound commercial judgment
• Collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams
• Mentoring and developing team members, supporting capability growth and succession planning

About You

You are an experienced Project Director or senior project leader with proven delivery capability, strong risk management experience, and commercial acumen within the heavy industrial sector. You bring a strong track record delivering technically complex projects and are known for building trusted client relationships, influencing outcomes, and leading teams to success. Experience within a consulting environment will be highly regarded.

• Proven ability to lead large, complex projects from early concept through to delivery
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing contracts, risk, and project performance
• A track record of building and sustaining trusted client relationships at a senior level
• The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and align diverse stakeholders
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging at a senior level
