About the Role
The Sizewell C Project requires Project Managers to drive the delivery of engineering work by the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and the engineering, procurement and manufacturing of key contracts. The first objective of the role is to sufficiently advance the engineering and secure the supply chain to de-risk the SZC Final Investment Decision (FID), through the maximum possible replication of the HPC detailed design.
You'll Be Responsible For
Take a global overview of the nuclear power plant Systems, Structures and Components (SSCs) within their programme, with a view to maximise replication from HPC and prepare for key contracts to be awarded. Be responsible for the timely delivery of engineering studies by the RD or by key contractors and for ensuring they meet the needs of the SZC project.
- Prepare with the multidisciplinary team specific post-FID contracts
- Drive the implementation of SZC site-specific design changes into the design deliverables in their programme
- Manage internal and external interfaces
- Manage early engagement with stakeholders
- Ensure lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced
- Develop and implement strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP)
- Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work
- Drive the delivery of the contract or package activities
- Ensure that contract or package contractual requirements are fulfilled
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to prepare manufacturing and construction contracts
You'll Need To Have
- Degree and Chartered status in Project management, Construction, Civil engineering, or other relevant discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Project Management
- English at CEFR Level B2 or above (if English is second language)
- Demonstrated experience of managing major projects
- Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems or civil engineering for large industrial plants
