About the Opportunity

This Technical Project Manager opportunity is well suited to someone who understands the realities of chip design projects and enjoys working in a small, technically focused team. The role offers real visibility and ownership, supporting a Cambridge-based ASIC design group delivering commercial chip programmes. It would suit someone with solid semiconductor project experience who prefers a hands-on, practical environment over heavy corporate structure.

Responsibilities

• Leading ASIC development projects from requirements through to tape-out readiness
• Coordinating small, highly technical teams and aligning schedules across design and test
• Managing scope, risks, milestones and dependencies in a lean environment
• Supporting definition of requirements, specifications and block-level planning
• Introducing practical, cost-effective project management structure appropriate for a small business

About You

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience managing commercial ASIC, electronic, or FPGA design projects
• Engineering background with a strong understanding of chip development workflows
• Ability to work effectively in a small, less formal environment
• Comfortable operating without heavy PM tools or rigid corporate processes
• Pragmatic, structured, and commercially aware approach to delivery
